Hit and Run (2012)

R 100 min. Starring Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, Kristin Chenoweth, Tom Arnold, Bradley Cooper, and a 1967 Lincoln Continental. Know for its romantic burnout scene.

"Hit and Run is a 2012 American action comedy film written by Dax Shepard, with David Palmer and Shepard co-directing again (their first film being Brother's Justice in 2010). The film stars Shepard and his now-wife Kristen Bell, with Kristin Chenoweth, Tom Arnold, and Bradley Cooper. It was released on August 22, 2012." -Wikipedia

The 1967 Lincoln Continental in the movie is actually owned by Dax Shepard. He was born in Michigan and was involved with cars all through his childhood. His exposure to cars came through his mother, who worked car shows with traveling events at race tracks. She also worked at GM.

In an interview, Dax said, the movie allowed him to live out his Smokey and the Bandit fantasy.

Green Hornet (2011)

PG13 119 min. This buddy, action, comedy movie was fun to watch.

Twenty-nine 1964 to 1966 Chrysler Imperials were used/destroyed while making this movie. According to Popular Mechanics, three survived.

The cars were provided by Dennis McCarthy of Vehicle Effects in California. He also provided the cars for Batman Begins, The Green Hornet, Man of Steel, Herbie Fully Loaded and the Fast & Furious franchise.

Cars (2006)

G 117 min. Lightning McQueen learns valuable lessons. There are a hand full of movies that both children and adult can enjoy. Cars is the best!

Talladega Nights (2006)

PG-13 108 min Comedy starring Will Ferrell.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is a comedy racing film directed by Adam McKay and starring Will Ferrell, written by both McKay and Ferrell.

The movie features appearances by several Saturday Night Live alumni.

NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and Dale Earnhardt Jr. make cameos, as well as broadcasting teams from NASCAR on Fox (Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip) and NASCAR on NBC (Bill Weber, Wally Dallenbach Jr. and Benny Parsons).

Powwow Highway (1989)

R 88 min. Comedy, Drama, Road trip movie. Starring A Martinez, Gary Farmer, Amanda Wyss. Based on a novel by David Seals. Main character, Philbert Bono, is trying to connect with his Cheyenne roots. He takes a road trip with a friend in a 1964 Buick Wildcat Four-Door Hardtop to rescue his sister.

Philbert's Buick, becomes his 'war pony' and he gives it the name 'Protector'. This is a heart warming and funny movie. Highly recommended.

Fandango (1985)

PG 91 min. Starring Kevin Costner. Set in 1971. Five Texas college students go on a "last" road trip together.

"Principal photography began in 1984 at a number of locations, primarily in Texas, including Alpine, Austin, El Paso, Fort Davis, Lajitas, Marathon, Marfa, Monahans, Pecos, and San Elizario, Texas. Big Bend Ranch State Park in Texas (where Dom was located) and Tulsa, Oklahoma, were also prominent in the film."

The Cannonball Run (1981)

PG 95 min. Starring Burt Reynolds, Roger Moore, Dom DeLuise, Farrah Fawcett...

One of 1981's most successful films at the box office. It was followed by Cannonball Run II (1984), and Speed Zone (1989).

This and the 1984 sequel were the final film appearances of actor Dean Martin.

The Blues Brothers (1980)

R 133 min. Starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd.
